Surprise, Arizona
Client: Lennar Communities Development, Inc.

Asante is a master-planned community located at the northwest corner of Grand Avenue and 163rd Avenue in Surprise, Arizona consisting of approximately 1,500 acres. The project includes a variety of residential uses ranging from high density single-family attached to low density single-family detached residences.

The master plan is designed to integrate open space and recreation throughout the project. This is accomplished with the design of over 130 acres for public parks and school facilities. All of the site landscape is being irrigated with reclaimed water that is pumped out of the project lake system. Through the use of passive and active recreation facilities, the Asante project not only succeeds in developing a sense of neighborhood, but also in providing destination points for the entire community.

McGough Group was the prime consultant on Asante and was responsible for design and development at every stage of the project starting with preliminary concepts for zoning approval to final construction documents and construction administration. The project scope included major and minor entry monumentation, all community and neighborhood park layouts and specifications, arterial and collector streetscapes (163rd Avenue, Asante Boulevard, and Pat Tillman Boulevard) and the comprehensive design of the reclaimed water irrigation system. McGough Group has and continues to provide support during the construction process.
